The wine is gorgeous and full-bodied, bursting with sweet dark cherries, menthol, sage and flowers. This wine shows why Nero d”Avola is lovingly called the “iron fist in the velvet glove.” It really is no wonder why this grape is so historic and important for Sicily. It is perfect with red meat, pasta puttanesca and aged cheese.
