An obscure Italian grape that is one of Friuli’s indigenous varietals, and is so dang good! The wine is lush with bright cherry and dark berries that are set in with notes of spice and faint stony minerality with hints of coffee and soft tannins on a finish that is so pleasing. Kermit Lynch once wrote that this wine is “eminently drinkable,” and boy howdy is he right about that!
