This producer only makes Reservas in vintages of exceptional quality, just one of the quarks we love. The fruit comes from their vineyards on the slopes of the Sierra Yerga Mountains just above the town of Quel, from some of their oldest vines. The wine doles out notes of deep, full black and purple fruits like berries and plum with a lifted acidity that balances lovely minerality and earthy tones. The tannins dance with well integrated oak and vanilla that leave us wanting more…and yeah, that 2011 vintage is current! Stunning!
