We don’t say this often, but this is a really fun wine from San Luis Obispo. A single vineyard Syrah, they only make 112 cases of the stuff! Aged for nearly two years in neutral barrels, the wine is both bright and fresh but layered with meaty dark fruits like black plum, blueberry, and touches of cherry. Notes of tobacco, crushed black pepper, and touches of vanilla weave through silky, soft tannins and a lifted acidity. It’s lighter in the glass than most Syrah, and it’s just so delightful!
